The Digital Creator is imaginative and driven, producing exciting photo, video, and graphic content and supporting SCP's social media, e-commerce, and communications efforts. This role brings an exciting new facet to the brand voice and expands messaging capabilities across platforms, including the build-out of SCP's presence on TikTok and any new social media programs.
As our principal visual storyteller, your job will be to create content highlighting our people, clients, products, capabilities & events. We really want you to run point on new trends, making the space your own. You'll share fun info on new releases, educational content, behind-the-scenes creativity, and anything else you think is relevant. This will happen as you produce content across our social media channels & work directly with our in-house team.
Organization and communication are vital to the role. You'll be SCP's visual historian as you organize videos on our Vimeo and YouTube pages, update website imagery, and catalog our internal media libraries.
Last, but definitely not least, you'll celebrate the best of the SCP's wins and be the first to highlight upcoming news on our team's Slack channels.
FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media
- Serve as the principal visual storyteller for SCP by creating content that highlights our people, partners, products, and processes, such as new releases, educational content, behind-the-scenes creativity, and any other relevant content.
- Develop and expand the company's presence and voice on TikTok and any new social media programs or applications to engage new fans in contemporary formats.
- Pitch, execute, and publish content to apps such as Facebook, IG, and Tik Tok (infeed as well as Reels, and Instagram Stories) as a primary duty, running point on new trends and opportunities to make the space your own.
- Capture and document SCP's presence and culture by attending and supporting festivals, events, and other brand activation opportunities.
- Build catalog and organize videos on Vimeo and YouTube pages and maintain collections to highlight our best work.
- Contribute content and coverage on all other social media channels and bring your ideas to life.
- Maintain fun back-and-forth dialogue with our fans and followers by responding to comments and DMs, including timely answers to questions.
External Communications
- Keep our website content fresh by updating content with news, team & partner wins, and exciting product releases.
- Develop visual content to support different email initiatives.
- Capture product and lifestyle content of new retail products for e-commerce sites as needed.
Internal Communications
- Celebrate the best of SCP's wins and be the first to highlight upcoming news on our internal Slack channels.
Collaboration
- Due to our role producing for clients, occasionally there will be a need to capture content on their behalf, so the ability to adapt to the visual style of partners as needed is critical to success in this role.

Education and Experience:
- Proven social media track record and following, personally and/or as a content creator for a brand. The ideal candidate's portfolio will display a mix of product and lifestyle content.
- Passionate music enthusiast with a demonstrated ability to communicate with fans of the industry.
- 3+ years of experience in creating digital content, with a current portfolio.
- Live and breathe content creation and are very tuned in to the latest social trends.
- Exceptional understanding of how to create content that will engage audiences.
- Strong photography and videography/audio capture and editing skills.
- Must be proficient in Adobe CS Suite: Photoshop and/or Lightroom and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or other video/audio editing software.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in marketing, communications, public relations, or design; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and weekends at brand activation events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects.
